The players and coaches of the two competing universities will be featured at this event and will give the fans a preview of the game. This is a great chance to get a close-up look at the coaches and players while enjoying a wonderful dinner. Plus, awards will be presented by the Bowl.

PRO RODEO

Rodeo Bull Riding

The 2023 AutoZone Liberty Bowl Professional Rodeo will feature top performers from around the country competing in events such as Bull Riding, Bareback Bronc Riding, Steer Wrestling and Barrel Racing, all from inside the friendly confines of the Agricenter Show Place Arena.

This year's Pro Rodeo will feature a special bull riding competition where the champion wins an AutoZone Liberty Bowl Bull Riding Champion belt buckle.

2023 FCA / AutoZone Liberty Bowl Breakfast

To Feature Former Tennessee Star Chris Walker

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), together with the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, are pleased to announce that Memphian and former Tennessee defensive end Chris Walker will be the featured speaker at this year’s FCA / AutoZone Liberty Bowl Breakfast. The 2023 breakfast benefiting FCA will be held at the Hilton Memphis Hotel on Wednesday, December 27 at 7:15 am.

Walker was a standout player at Christian Brothers High School in Memphis. He was selected to the 2006 AutoZone Liberty Bowl High School Football All-Star Game. Walker played for Tennessee from 2007 to 2010. Now he is the FCA Campus Director at the University of Tennessee and serves as the chaplain for the Vols’ football team and men’s basketball team.

In announcing this year’s guest speaker, Greater Memphis FCA Metro Director Jeremy Wilbur commented, “We are extremely excited to have one of our own, Memphian Chris Walker, return home to share his story and personal testimony with our audience and members of the participating AutoZone Liberty Bowl teams.”

Breakfast. From his days at CBHS and one of our high school all-stars, Chris has personified the character, high principles and values on which the AutoZone Liberty Bowl was founded.”
